Current projects

Whenever I have the time, I work on music projects, either for our short films, for our electro rock band In the Zone or for myself.

Finished Projects

So far, I have released three electronic music albums: Dedications, Made in England and Janus. Dedications is not available any longer. My Im Auftrag des Herrn film soundtrack is only available as a free donwload (mp3 or AAC). Originally produced in 5.1 surround, there's also a surround sound file that you can play back on computers specially equipped for dedicated surround output.
Together with a colleague, I produced Freshwater Supply under the project name [tincanfood]. This album features a mix of electronic sounds, vocals and Latin grooves. It is available via the Apple iTunes store. More of my music is available on the MEMI CDs HiddenTreasures Vol. 1, 2 and 3 as well as on the schallplatte 2 album of schallwende e.V.

Since a school project in the late eighties, Michael Lehmann and I are fascinated by the process of making movies. Sometimes I even watch the making-of part of a DVD before I go for the feature film. We started off with a teenage detective story, made a graduation film (a collection of comedy sketches) in our last year at school and crowned our hobby with a feature length film about Christian fanatism, satanists and bigotry.

Many years after our first attempts on filmmaking, Michael and I couldn't let it be and started writing short film scripts. A lot of time has passed since our eager beginnings, and technology has evolved immensely. So, our first few short films will not have original plots but instead will each concentrate on one or two technical aspects of filmmaking.
Our first film is called Lullaby and was produced in 2011 with friends and family. Our second film is currently undergoing post-production and is more of the silly comedic type...

Short film: Lullaby

Lullaby is a seven minutes horror film in which we wanted to create a dark mood just by lighting and sound. Filmed with two DSLRs in FullHD and 5.1 surround sound, we first had to come to grips with the new technology. After three months of post-production, we were able to release it to mixed reviews. ;)

Im Auftrag des Herrn - It's finished!

While practising with the new technology, we needed material to use it on. So why not take our first feature length film and refurbish it with all our might? It took us two and a half years to re-edit the thing from 145 minutes (!) down to 70, create a completely new soundtrack in 5.1 surround, and add all new visual effects. A by-product of this tedious process is the soundtrack album which you can download for free in the Multimedia section of this page.

Best of Photos

Since 2002, I use digital cameras for snapshots. In August 2010, I upgraded to a DSLR and have tried to improve my skills constantly to create images aside from vacation snaps. On Flickr, you can find my Best of-Photostream which will continuously be updated with new material.

After a friend of mine introduced me to the stock photo industry, I applied for a contributor account at Shutterstock and Fotolia. There, you'll find hundreds of my images for download.
